The OR Education stream at the IFORS Conference in Vienna (13.07.2026) showcased a wide range of innovative approaches to teaching Operations Research. Presentations highlighted the growing role of AI in education, including AI-supported student assessment and Socratic AI tutoring, alongside creative gamification concepts such as Friday Night at the ER and Gurobean.

The sessions sparked lively discussions on how educators can better engage students, teach decision-making, and prepare the next generation of OR professionals. Overall, the stream demonstrated the creativity and commitment of the OR education community to advancing teaching and learning in the field.
