On Saturday, June 21, we gathered in Leeds for the OR Education Workshop ahead of the EURO conference – and what a day it was! From the energizing opening and icebreaking session to the collaborative, hands-on closing, the workshop was filled with insightful exchanges, inspiring presentations, and fresh ideas.

We began by sharing our teaching challenges and triumphs, followed by engaging presentations showcasing real classroom cases. It was inspiring to see so many great ideas, approaches, and methods being applied to teach operations research and management science. The sessions offered plenty of inspiration for enhancing our teaching – there’s always something new to try!

These insights were further enriched by a presentation on how to publish successes in OR education. We concluded the day by co-creating and brainstorming new teaching tools together. We’re excited to see how some of the ideas from the workshop develop further!
